Qualifications

• Prior experience building consumer-facing or operations-focused web apps.
• Proficient in asynchronous programming with callbacks, Promises, and async/await.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, indexing, and data modeling.
• Understanding API security, error handling, third-party integrations, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OS, and networking basics.
• Experience writing automated tests and supporting applications across development, testing, and production.
• Willingness to learn new tools with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, loosely coupled services for our Transportation Management System.
• Develop reliable APIs and integrations with logistics partners, payment providers, mapping platforms, and internal services.
• Build event-driven workflows for shipments, trips, riders, routing, and delivery operations.
• Develop responsive web applications used by operations teams and business users.
• Improve application performance, observability, fault tolerance, and overall availability.
• Own features from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Operate large-scale applications on GCP and contribute to engineering practices.
• Work closely with product and operations teams as requirements and workflows evolve.

What will you do at Fynd?

• Build scalable, loosely coupled services for our Transportation Management System.
• Develop reliable APIs and integrations with logistics partners, payment providers, mapping platforms, and internal services.
• Build event-driven workflows for shipments, trips, riders, routing, and delivery operations.
• Develop responsive web applications used by operations teams and business users.
• Improve application performance, observability, fault tolerance, and overall availability.
• Own features from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Operate large-scale applications on GCP and contribute to continuous improvements in our engineering practices.
• Work closely with product and operations teams as requirements and workflows evolve.

Some specific requirements

• Prior experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing or operations-focused web applications.
• Good knowledge of asynchronous programming using callbacks, Promises, and async/await.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, database design, indexing, and complex data models.
• Understanding of API security, error handling, third-party integrations, and production troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience writing automated tests and supporting applications across development, testing, and production.
• You may not have experience with every tool in our stack, but you should be able to learn with appropriate guidance and resources.

Good to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB and Redis.
• Familiarity with Vite, Webpack, Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
• Understanding of distributed systems, caching, retries, and idempotency.
• Experience with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Knowledge of TMS, shipments, trips, routing, mapping, or last-mile delivery systems.
