Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and operating high-scale backend systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Strong experience with Microservices Architecture and distributed system design.
• Expertise in Kafka for event-driven architectures and integration.
• Strong MongoDB expertise covering data modeling, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis for caching, distributed locking, session management, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of cloud-native backend platforms.
• Own technical direction, solution architecture, standards, and delivery planning for the squad.
• Design scalable, distributed, event-driven backend services and optimize workloads.
• Drive platform reliability, security, and performance across production systems.
• Maintain hands-on frontend development using ReactJS and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Mentor engineers and foster growth and engineering practices.

• Design scalable, distributed, event‑driven backend services and optimize distributed workloads.
• Drive platform reliability, security, and performance across production systems.
• Maintain hands‑on involvement in frontend development using ReactJS.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide engineers across the squad.
• Foster technical growth and promote strong engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience building and operating high‑scale backend systems in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.

• Expertise in Kafka for event‑driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and service integration.
• Strong MongoDB expertise covering data modeling, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis for caching, distributed locking, session management, and performance optimization.

Additional Technical Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms – Azure preferred, with AWS or GCP acceptable.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with API design, security, authentication, authorization, and observability.
