Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and operation of large-scale, cloud-native backend platforms. Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js . Architect and implement microservices-based distributed systems . Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for asynchronous processing and service-to-service integration. Design scalable data models and optimize MongoDB databases, including indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning. Implement Redis for caching, distributed locking, session management, and performance optimization. Develop and maintain frontend applications using ReactJS while maintaining a strong backend engineering focus. Work with Angular where required as part of full-stack application development. Design and develop secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs. Implement appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms and follow secure API design practices. Build highly available and resilient systems capable of supporting mission-critical production workloads. Drive application performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and observability. Design and operate cloud-native solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP , with Azure preferred. Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes . Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices . Participate in architecture and technical design discussions and drive appropriate technical decisions. Establish and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and code quality across the squad. Conduct code reviews and ensure maintainable, secure, and production-ready code. Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution. Plan technical delivery, estimate work, manage dependencies, and support successful sprint execution. Mentor and guide engineers on architecture, development practices, debugging, performance optimization, and engineering standards. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams to ensure successful delivery. Contribute to technical roadmaps, platform improvements, and continuous engineering optimization.
