Job description

We are seeking an energetic Full Stack Technical Lead who can be responsible for all aspects of our platform. You will set the technical vision for the company and help define key architectural components while leading a team of engineers, but still have a hands‑on role in developing the codebase. The role should involve as much technical work as possible, as well as ensuring quality performance, reliability, and scalability of products across different channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the whole architecture and delivery of the Platform, from backend Services to user-facing APIs
• Develop high‑level components/ core modules like:
  • Order management systems
  • Real‑time data processing pipelines
  • Payment integrations
  • User and account management
• Build and scale a multi‑tenant (white‑label) solution so partners can quickly deploy individual instances with separate configurations, branding, and fee structures
• Potentially good performance and reliability for systems with real‑time data, high transaction volumes, and concurrent user count
• Integrate using external APIs and third‑party services like payment gateways, data providers, etc.
• Implement security features, such as authentication, rate limiting, and data protection
• Database design and optimization for throughput‑based transactional workloads (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Real‑time infrastructure (WebSockets, Redis Pub/Sub, event‑driven systems)
• CI/CD and deployment automation, as well as production incident response
  • Define code quality standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain technical documentation
  • Mentor and guide a team of 3–5 engineers

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of strong experience in backend engineering and overall 2+ years of tech leadership/architecture
• Strong experience with architecting large‑scale systems (fintech, trading, payments, or similar domains)
• Hands‑on experience in learning about while making and writing the code
• Strong proficiency in:
  • JS and TypeScript (primary stack)
  • Go or Python
  • PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Message queues and event‑driven architectures
  • Hands‑on design experience with real‑time, low‑latency, high‑concurrency systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and develop for multi‑tenant or white‑label SaaS architectures
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), including EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, and CloudFront.
  • Good knowledge of application and API security, such as JWT authentication, rate limiting, and secure key management
  • Worked with monitoring and observability tools like Sentry, Grafana, logging, and alerting
  • Ability to anticipate the trade‑offs between speed and quality, exercise sound technical judgment
  • Hands‑on experience in team leadership and mentorship of small engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial or trading systems (e.g., matching engines, margin systems, settlement flows)
• Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals, including wallets and on‑chain/off‑chain transactions
• Experience integrating KYC/AML providers (e.g., Sumsub, Jumio)
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements across jurisdictions
• Experience with time‑series databases (e.g., TimescaleDB)
• Contributions to open‑source projects or technical writing
