Job summary

BMC Helix is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help build modern, cloud-native applications that power our industry-leading Helix platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications while working closely with product managers, architects, UX designers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams. • Design, develop, test, and maintain modern full-stack web applications.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular (preferred) or React.
• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Participate in software design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Explore and integrate AI capabilities to enhance product functionality and user experience.
• Work closely with global cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise software.

To ensure you\'re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in Full Stack Development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js (NestJS or Express.js preferred).
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of authentication and authorization technologies, including JWT, OAuth, and SSO.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including containerized application deployment.
• Familiarity with Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and cloud-native development principles.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and enterprise software development practices.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered application development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of observability, logging, and monitoring tools.
• Exposure to AI agents, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, or MCP.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or intelligent assistants.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers.
• Understanding of enterprise security best practices.
• Experience working in a SaaS or enterprise product development environment.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
• Experience working in Agile teams with globally distributed stakeholders.
