Job summary

BMC Helix is hiring a Senior Quality Automation Engineer to drive 50% automation and 50% manual testing for our SaaS products. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in automation frameworks, DevOps, SRE principles, and enterprise use cases across web, API, and mobile platforms.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of QA experience, proficiency in Selenium, Java, Jenkins, and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift), plus cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP) and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience with automation
• Experience with automation frameworks across product lifecycle
• Hands-on with Web, API, and Mobile testing
• Exposure to AI/GenAI tools in testing workflows
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI)
• Strong communication and documentation skills

BMC Helix is hiring a Senior Quality Automation Engineer with a strong ownership mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality, stable, and scalable SaaS products. This role blends 50% automation and 50% manual testing, requiring deep hands-on expertise across the product lifecycle, automation frameworks, DevOps, SRE principles, and complex enterprise use cases.

• Own and drive overall product quality, preventing regressions and customer facing defects.
• Define and execute test strategies, ensuring comprehensive manual and automated coverage.
• Design, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks, ensuring high stability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Automate new test cases and maintain existing ones with high reliability and low maintenance.
• Review design documents; identify risks early in features, upgrades, and patches.
• Define and implement performance testing strategies, integrating and scalability testing into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and platform teams for seamless integrations and releases.
• Mentor QA/automation engineers and uphold high engineering quality standards.
• Track key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and automation.
• Exhibit strong ownership, leadership, and resilience while balancing multiple strategic initiatives and delivering results with minimal supervision.

To ensure you\u2019re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset \& experience:

• 5+ years of QA experience along with developing automation frameworks using Selenium + Java.
• Strong expertise in automation frameworks, regression execution, and Agile environments.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Java, Jenkins, container tech (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience testing Web, API, and Mobile applications.
• Understanding of scalable system design and enterprise SaaS architecture.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI tools and apply them to testing workflows.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP).
• Excellent communication, analysis, and documentation skills.
