Job summary

BMC Helix is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and deliver engaging learning solutions across platforms, applying proven instructional design methods. You will collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to ensure content aligns with business goals.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of instructional design experience, strong adult-learning knowledge, and hands-on proficiency with Articulate Studio 360, Rise, Vyond, Synthesia, Camtasia, Canva, and Captivate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of instructional design experience.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
• Hands-on experience with eLearning development tools such as Articulate Studio 360, Rise, Vyond, Synthesia, Camtasia, Canva, and Captivate.
• Ability to manage projects end-to-end.
• Knowledge of enterprise software solutions; familiarity with BMC Helix is a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Build a diverse learning ecosystem with virtual, social, video, and instructor-led formats.
• Stay updated with evolving learning technologies; knowledge of BMC Helix is a plus.

• Design and deliver engaging learning solutions, including instructor-led training, eLearning, microlearning, and blended programs across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, virtual).
• Apply instructional design methodologies (analysis, design, development, evaluation) to create learner-centric, high-impact training programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to develop effective education content aligned with business goals.
• Develop a variety of learning deliverables including course materials, job aids, scripts, assessments, and certification content.
• Manage multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with learning objectives and budget.
• Leverage modern tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Synthesia, Canva, Captivate) to create innovative learning experiences.
• Contribute to building a strong learning ecosystem using diverse delivery methods including virtual, social, video, and instructor-led formats.
• Stay updated with evolving learning technologies and industry trends; knowledge of BMC Helix (ITSM, ITOM, AIOps, Discovery) is a plus.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Instructional Design, preferably within a software or technology environment.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning design methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with eLearning development tools such as Articulate Studio 360, Rise, Vyond, Synthesia, Camtasia, Canva, and Captivate.
• Ability to manage projects independently from initiation to delivery of learning solutions.
• Knowledge or exposure to enterprise software solutions; familiarity with BMC Helix products is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capability to handle multiple priorities.
