Job summary

MTBI is seeking a Frontend Engineer to own end-to-end UI features using React 18 and TypeScript, connected to secure REST APIs and AI-enabled data services.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Data Scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable interfaces with robust authentication and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with modern React/TypeScript frontends.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and cloud-based data products.
• Experience turning models into production-ready workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver responsive React 18/TypeScript frontends with modern UI frameworks.
• Build prototypes in Figma and convert to accessible, tested features.
• Integrate secure REST APIs and extend Python/FastAPI services on AWS Lambda.
• Implement Cognito/OAuth2, JWT validation and Lambda access controls.
• Own Jest testing, code reviews, CI/CD packaging, observability and defects.
• Collaborate with business, PO, Data Scientists to shape AI use cases.
• Turn analytical models into production-ready workflows with Plotly visuals.
• Demo features, gather feedback and support smooth transition to operations.

Owns end-to-end frontend features and selected backend services, integrations, security and production reliability. Interest towards self-developing as AI-Forward Deployed Engineer (AI-FDE).

To ensure that you will-

• Design and deliver responsive, reusable React 18 / TypeScript experiences using Context API, MUI v6, Bootstrap 5 and modular SCSS.
• Build Figma prototypes and convert them into accessible, tested and maintainable product features.
• Integrate secure REST APIs and extend Python/FastAPI services on AWS Lambda behind API Gateway.
• Implement authentication and authorization using Cognito OAuth2, JWT validation, group claims and Lambda Authorizers.
• Own Jest testing, code reviews, GitLab CI/CD packaging, deployment notes, observability and defect resolution.
• FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER | AI & DATA SCIENCE
• Partner directly with business customers, Product Owner, Data Scientists and Data Engineers to shape AI use cases.
• Turn analytical models and governed datasets into clear workflows, Plotly visualizations and decision-support experiences.
• Run demos, collect user feedback, prioritize refinements and support transition into operations.
• Strong hands-on React, TypeScript and production web application experience.
• Python/FastAPI plus AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, S3, IAM and monitoring fundamentals.
• Experience with authentication, forms, cloud-based data products and secure input handling.
