Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a frontend engineer for an AI-forward deployed role in Pune. You will own end-to-end frontend features, integrate secure REST APIs, and collaborate with data scientists to deliver AI-powered workflows. The position is permanent with a hybrid work policy in Pune.

You should have strong React/TypeScript skills, hands-on experience with MUI, Figma, and CI/CD, plus knowledge of AWS Lambda, API Gateway and Cognito for secure deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering React 18/TypeScript frontend features.
• Experience building accessible, testable frontend modules.
• Experience integrating secure REST APIs and serverless backends.
• Proficiency with authentication (OAuth2, JWT) and user management (Cognito).
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitLab) and observability practices.
• Proficient in UI libraries (MUI) and styling (SCSS).
• Ability to translate Figma designs into production-ready features.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end frontend features and selected backend services.
• Design, build, test and deploy React/TypeScript components.
• Integrate secure REST APIs and adapt Python/FastAPI services on AWS.
• Implement authentication and authorization with Cognito and OAuth2.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Data teams to shape AI use cases.
• Lead code reviews, testing, deployment notes and monitoring.

Your Tasks –

Owns end-to-end frontend features and selected backend services, integrations, security and production reliability. Interest towards self-developing as AI-Forward Deployed Engineer (AI-FDE).

To ensure that you will-

• Design and deliver responsive, reusable React 18 / TypeScript experiences using Context API, MUI v6, Bootstrap 5 and modular SCSS.
• Build Figma prototypes and convert them into accessible, tested and maintainable product features.
• Integrate secure REST APIs and extend Python/FastAPI services on AWS Lambda behind API Gateway.
• Implement authentication and authorization using Cognito OAuth2, JWT validation, group claims and Lambda Authorizers.
• Own Jest testing, code reviews, GitLab CI/CD packaging, deployment notes, observability and defect resolution.
• FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER | AI & DATA SCIENCE
• Partner directly with business customers, Product Owner, Data Scientists and Data Engineers to shape AI use cases.
• Turn analytical models and governed datasets into clear workflows, Plotly visualizations and decision-support experiences.
• Run demos, collect user feedback, prioritize refinements and support transition into operations.
• Strong hands-on React, TypeScript and production web application experience.
• Python/FastAPI plus AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, S3, IAM and monitoring fundamentals.
• Experience with authentication, forms, cloud-based data products and secure input handling.
