Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India Pvt. Ltd. seeks a permanent role in Cabin and Chassis, Pune, with hybrid working policy. You will lead end-to-end vehicle design, driving integration solutions for customer requirements while ensuring homologation and compliance.

You will develop a roadmap for vehicle programs, collaborate with global stakeholders, mentor engineers, and push innovations for scalable platform strategies and cost-effective manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in vehicle design projects.
• Experience coordinating chassis integration across teams.
• Knowledge of automotive homologation processes and standards.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end vehicle design from concept to release.
• Drive development of integration solutions for vehicle components.
• Define product roadmaps, engineering strategy and tech direction.
• Coordinate design validation and sign-off activities per requirements.
• Lead chassis, cabin and special application integrations.
• Ensure packaging, integration and system compatibility.

Your Tasks –

Responsible for end-to-end vehicle design starting from concept evaluation till release of complete vehicle. The role will lead the development of innovative, application-focused vehicle integration solutions aligned with customer requirements while ensuring successful product development, homologation and product standardization.

To ensure that you will-

• Develop and lead team of highly capable engineers across areas of design and development of complete vehicle lifecycle.
• Develop application-focused vehicle component integration solutions based on customer requirements and market needs.
• Define and execute the product roadmap, engineering strategy, and technology direction for vehicle programs.
• Defining functional requirements and co-ordinate/lead design validation, and engineering sign-off activities as per requirement fulfillment.
• Lead the design and integration of chassis, cabins, and special application components for diverse vehicle applications.
• Ensure complete vehicle packaging, mechanical integration, and system compatibility across vehicle subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review and achieve key product development milestones.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers responsible for vehicle integration, design, and product development activities.
• Work closely with global stakeholders to identify customer needs and drive new product development and portfolio expansion.
• Promote innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance future vehicle platforms and product competitiveness.
• Hands-on experience on product standardization, modularization, and platform commonality initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Good know-how about compliance with applicable automotive standards, regulations, and vehicle homologation requirements.
• Experience of delivering projects, assessing technical risks, resource planning, and delivery commitments to ensure successful program execution.
• Driving continuous improvement in vehicle performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Experience on simultaneous engineering, enabling faster and efficient development of products
• System/Vehicle Release and experience with Legislative Norms
• Cost Optimization Programs and Manufacturing Technology knowhow
