Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus India in Pune seeks a Senior Chassis Integration Engineer to lead the Chassis Integration team and act as a technical authority for global vehicle programs (ICE and BEV).

You will balance people management with hands-on design, define functional and packaging requirements, review concepts, and drive system integration while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and validation teams.

Qualifications

• MS/M.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering is required.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior integration engineer and technical authority for chassis integration in global vehicle programs.
• Lead design and development of chassis integration solutions for ICE and BEV platforms.
• Define and validate requirements, packaging, environments, and interfaces with DFM/DFA/DFS.
• Develop and review concepts, layouts, installations and system integration.
• Drive resolution of complex engineering issues through analytical problem solving.
• Contribute to engineering deliverables, design reviews and product releases.
• Coordinate with global cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and validation.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers, managing workload and competency development.

Your Tasks –

Responsible for leading the Chassis Integration team while simultaneously serving as a senior technical contributor for global vehicle development programs in chassis integration.

The role requires balancing people management, competency development, resource planning, and project leadership with hands‑on responsibility for the design, integration, and development of commercial vehicle chassis systems and components for ICE and BEV platforms.

To ensure that you will-

• Act as a senior integration engineer as individual contributor and technical authority for chassis integration activities within global vehicle development projects.
• Lead the design and development of chassis integration solutions for commercial vehicle platforms, including both ICE and BEV applications.
• Define and validate functional requirements, packaging constraints, operating environments, and interface requirements while considering DFM, DFA, and DFS principles.
• Develop and review engineering concepts, layouts, component installations, and system integration solutions.
• Drive resolution of complex engineering issues through analytical problem‑solving and technical decision‑making.
• Contribute directly to engineering deliverables, design reviews, concept evaluations, and product releases.
• Coordinate with global cross‑functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, validation, and suppliers during product development for individual technical topics.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers by managing team requirements, project assignments, workload balancing, and competency development.
• Identify present and future competency requirements based on project demands and organizational strategy.
• Review project risks, set priorities, and optimize resource utilization across multiple programs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering efficiency, product performance, cost, and quality.
• Define and ensure adherence to organizational quality processes and engineering standards.
• Support Agile implementation, QMS activities, and internal quality audits.
• Demonstrate leadership through accountability, ownership, and adherence to organizational values.
• Build strong collaboration across local and global engineering organizations.
• Contribute to organizational vision, mission, strategic objectives, and capability‑building initiatives.
