Job summary

PineQ Lab Technology is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work closely with customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deploy production-ready applications using modern software, cloud, data, and AI technologies.

The role involves collaborating with product, software, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, implement secure practices, and support PoC, demos, and deployments for client success.

Qualifications

• Experience building APIs, backend services, and distributed apps.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, auth and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP; Docker, CI/CD, deployment automation.
• Understanding of architecture, scalability, reliability and security.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, vector databases.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work closely with customers to understand their business challenges and develop, integrate, and deploy customized technical solutions. The role combines software engineering, customer engagement, system integration, and problem-solving to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with customers, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and rapidly building and deploying production-ready applications using modern software, cloud, data, and AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand business requirements, workflows, technical challenges, and operational needs.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy customized software solutions for customer-specific use cases.
• Build integrations with customer systems using REST APIs, SDKs, databases, and third-party services.
• Develop applications, automation workflows, and AI-powered solutions using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-based systems, where applicable.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, data scientists, and customer success teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, prototypes, and production-ready implementations.
• Troubleshoot production issues, investigate root causes, and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, data handling, logging, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Gather customer feedback and convert real-world challenges into product improvements and reusable engineering components.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Support proof-of-concept (PoC) development, solution demonstrations, and production rollouts.

Required Technical Skills

• Backend development: Experience building APIs, backend services, and distributed applications.
• API integrations: Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication, and third-party integrations.
• Databases: Familiarity with SQL databases and NoSQL systems.
• Cloud and DevOps: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• System design: Understanding of application architecture, scalability, reliability, and security.
• AI/ML (preferred for AI-focused roles): Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI application frameworks.
• Debugging: Ability to investigate complex technical problems across multiple systems.
