Job summary

Blackstraw.ai is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Chennai to translate customer needs into scalable AI/ML solutions and production-ready software. You will prototype quickly, build MVPs, and integrate models, data pipelines, and backend services with client systems.

You'll design robust architectures, collaborate across teams, and ensure security and observability while communicating complex concepts to stakeholders throughout discovery to adoption.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of engineering experience with proven Python expertise.
• Experience building REST APIs/microservices with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Strong system design and scalable backend architecture experience.
• Experience with SQL / RDBMS and data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and convert POCs into production-ready solutions.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who operates at the intersection of Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Customer Success to understand customer requirements and deliver technical solutions from POC to production.
