Job summary

Saksham Resources Management is seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic in India to maintain, diagnose and repair forklifts and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment for safety and reliability, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience, with ITI/ diploma or technical qualification in Automobile/Mechanical/Diesel. Benefits include travel, visa and on-site support as per company policy.

Qualifications

• ITI/ diploma or technical qualification in automobile, mechanical, diesel mechanic or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Forklift or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Hands-on in repairing and maintaining forklifts; knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, servicing and preventive maintenance of forklifts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and transmission issues.
• Repair and replace defective components including brakes, hydraulics, batteries, engines and transmissions.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, parts and service activities.

Overview:

Seeking an experienced and skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our operations, the candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of forklifts and related material-handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs of forklifts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission-related problems.
• Repair and replace defective components, including brakes, steering systems, hydraulic systems, batteries, engines, transmissions, and other forklift parts.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance according to manufacturer and company schedules.
• Inspect forklifts for safety, operational performance, and mechanical condition.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and service activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Automobile, Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Forklift Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining forklifts.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and basic diagnostic systems.
