Important: This position is strictly for candidates currently based in Bengaluru with relevant hands-on experience in service engineering, material handling equipment, industrial equipment, automotive service or a related technical field.

Role Description

We are looking for a Service Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bengaluru.

This is a full-time, on-site, field-based role involving regular travel to customer locations, primarily across Bengaluru and Bengaluru South.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for routine and preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of forklifts and other material handling equipment.

The role involves inspecting equipment, identifying faults, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, carrying out repairs and completing service documentation accurately.

You will work closely with customers and the internal service team to provide timely technical support, ensure equipment uptime and maintain high safety and service standards.

This role is particularly suited for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, field travel and gaining exposure to different industrial environments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out appropriate corrective actions.
• Attend customer sites for service calls, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support installation, commissioning and equipment-related service activities.
• Ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
• Prepare accurate service reports, job cards and maintenance records.
• Communicate service findings, technical issues and recommended corrective actions clearly to customers.
• Coordinate with the internal service team to ensure timely resolution of customer requirements.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines, company procedures and applicable safety standards.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, wiring diagrams and service instructions.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate them to the service team.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a high standard of safety while working in warehouses, industrial sites and outdoor environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in field service, material handling equipment, forklifts, industrial equipment, automotive service or a closely related field.
• Practical experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with forklifts or other material handling equipment will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams and service instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and understand their service requirements.
• Must be currently based in Bengaluru.
• Must be willing to travel regularly to customer locations.
• A valid driving licence is preferred.

Important Eligibility Note

This is not an entry-level position.

Candidates must have 2–3 years of relevant hands‑on service, maintenance or field‑service experience.

Candidates without relevant experience in service, maintenance, industrial equipment, material handling equipment, automotive service or a related technical field will not be considered.

A degree alone is not sufficient for this position. For example, candidates with a Computer Science/IT degree and no relevant hands‑on service or field experience will not be considered.
