Job summary

Modern Automotives in India seeks a seasoned Design Engineer for Forging to drive new RFQ feasibility, die design, 3D modeling, and process documentation. You will create drawings from customer specifications and perform simulations to optimize tooling and reduce waste.

The role requires expertise in hot and warm forging, Creo/Pro‑E, AutoCAD, and strong documentation skills aligned with IATF 16949, APQP and PPAP standards. 5S and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Know‑how of Forging process like Hot & Warm Forging.
• Know-how of Forging die design.
• Know-how of Process documentations.
• Know-how of 3D Software Creo / Pro-E.
• Know-how of Auto Cad.
• Proficiency in computing skills (MS. Excel, MS. Word, MS. PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• New RFQ Forging parts process feasibility make.
• Make forging drawing from customer drawing & forging process design.
• Do Forging dies design (Bender, Blocker, Finisher, Trim Tool & Coining Die).
• Make 3D Modeling & Assembly (Bender, Blocker, Finisher, Trim Tool & Coining Die).
• Do Forging design simulation.
• Coordinate with design team to solve running operational issues.
• Minimize material wastage with better tool design.
• Make process mistake proofing adding with POKA‑YOKE.
• Make all documents related to Forging part development.
• Make all documents related to IATF 16949.
• Make all documents related to APQP & PPAP.
• Maintain 5S.

Note: Candidates must be from the Auto-Components Industry with strong experience in Hot & Warm Forging and relevant Design Engineering/Design Management experience. Candidates should have proven expertise in forging component and die/tool design, along with the ability to lead and manage the Design function.
