Job summary

CIEL HR is seeking an operator to manage forging machines in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, India. The role focuses on operating presses, hammers, furnaces, and related equipment to meet drawings and production schedules while upholding safety, material handling, and quality standards.

The candidate will set up tools, load materials, monitor process parameters, and inspect finished components, maintaining records and following 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate forging presses, hammers, furnaces, trimming machines, and related equipment.
• Set up machines and tools as per production requirements.
• Load and position raw materials correctly before forging.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, stroke, and other process parameters.
• Inspect forged components for dimensional and visual defects.
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain production records, inspection reports, and shift logs.
• Identify machine/process abnormalities and report them to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive checks.
• Follow work instructions, process sheets, and quality standards.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished components.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping in the forging area.
• Strictly follow PPE, safety procedures, and workplace regulations.
