Job summary

Walkaroo International Private Limited is seeking a Manual Designer with 4–6 years of experience in open footwear pattern development and grading. The role covers end-to-end pattern development, grading, fitting validation, die development, and commercialization to ensure production-ready patterns with accurate fit and manufacturability.

Experience as a Shoe Master is an added advantage. The candidate will collaborate with Design, NPD, Production, QA, Sourcing, and Vendors to finalize patterns

Responsibilities

• Prepare production-ready upper patterns based on approved designs.
• Manage the complete grading process across size ranges and ensure consistency.
• Coordinate with design, NPD, production, QA, sourcing, and vendors for final confirmation.
• Maintain pattern master files, grading sheets, and fit reports with version control.
• Support initial production trials and resolve pattern-related issues.

Job description

We are looking for a Manual Designer with 4–6 years of experience in open footwear pattern development and grading. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end pattern development, grading, fitting validation, die development, and commercialization, ensuring production-ready patterns with accurate fit and manufacturability. Experience as a Shoe Master will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pattern Development

• Prepare accurate, production-ready upper patterns based on approved designs.
• Ensure pattern accuracy, symmetry, and manufacturability.

2. Pattern Grading

• Manage the complete grading process for all size ranges.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and consistency across graded size sets.
• Maintain grading standards and revision records.
• Conduct fitting evaluations and identify fit-related issues.
• Revise patterns based on fitting feedback.
• Issue final pattern approval before commercialization.
• Coordinate with NPD, mould, and production teams for final confirmation.
• Release finalized patterns for pilot and bulk production.
• Support initial production trials and resolve pattern-related issues.
• Ensure all approved changes are incorporated before production.
• Coordinate die development and modifications with suppliers.

6. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with Design, NPD, Production, QA, Sourcing, and Vendors.
• Maintain pattern master files, grading sheets, fit reports, and commercialization documents with proper version control.
• Production-ready manual patterns.
• Accurate graded size sets.
• Final fitting approval for new developments.
• Timely technical support during pilot and bulk production.
