Job summary

Iba Crafts in India is seeking an experienced Garment CAD Pattern Master / CAD-CAM Designer to lead pattern development from tech packs, measurement sheets, sketches and approved samples. You will create production-ready patterns and ensure accurate grading and markers.

The role requires independent work across dresses, shirts, trousers, kurtas and woven garments, coordinating with sampling, cutting and production teams to optimize fabric usage and ensure fit, balance and construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop garment patterns using CAD software.
• Create patterns from tech packs, sketches, measurement charts and physical samples.
• Modify and correct patterns based on fitting and sampling feedback.
• Perform accurate size grading for complete size ranges.
• Ensure proper garment fit, balance, ease and measurements.
• Create and optimize markers/nesting for maximum fabric utilization.
• Prepare patterns for sampling as well as production.
• Check seam allowances, shrinkage allowance and construction details.
• Coordinate with sampling, cutting, stitching and production teams.
• Check first samples and production pieces against approved specifications.
• Maintain digital patterns, master blocks and grading records.
• Troubleshoot fit and pattern-related production issues.

We are looking for an experienced Garment CAD Pattern Master / CAD-CAM Designer with strong knowledge of garment pattern making, grading, fit correction and marker planning.

The candidate should be able to independently develop production-ready patterns from tech packs, measurement sheets, sketches, reference garments and approved samples.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop garment patterns using CAD software.
• Create patterns from tech packs, sketches, measurement charts and physical samples.
• Modify and correct patterns based on fitting and sampling feedback.
• Perform accurate size grading for complete size ranges.
• Ensure proper garment fit, balance, ease and measurements.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is not just a CAD operator, but has a strong understanding of garment pattern making and fit.

The candidate should be capable of taking a new design or sample and independently converting it into an accurate, graded and production-ready digital pattern.

Experience working with an export house, garment manufacturer or international apparel buyers will be preferred.
