Job summary

National Power Engineering Company is seeking a Floor Engineer to supervise daily shop floor fabrication activities for heavy steel structures, including bridges, gantries, and PEB sheds. You will ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and schedules while coordinating with design, planning, stores, and quality teams.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years in steel fabrication or heavy structural fabrication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in steel fabrication or heavy structural fabrication industries.
• Knowledge of fabrication drawings and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fabrication activities on the shop floor.
• Ensure fabrication work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
• Coordinate with the design, planning, stores, and quality teams for smooth production.
• Monitor manpower utilization, machine performance, and material consumption.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication process.
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on the shop floor.
• Track production progress and submit daily production reports to management.
• Identify production issues and coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and discipline within the assigned work area.
