Job summary

GatiHire is seeking a seasoned Fleet Operations Manager in Jamalpur, Haryana, to oversee end-to-end fleet activities and ensure on-time deliveries. You will supervise Fleet In-charges, plan driver schedules, and coordinate with clients and warehouses to sustain efficient service delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in fleet or logistics, strong knowledge of regulations, and expertise in GPS tracking and MIS reporting.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet operations, transportation, or logistics management.
Strong knowledge of transportation operations, route planning, and logistics regulations.
Proven experience in client handling, team supervision, and operational planning.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end fleet operations, including vehicle dispatch, tracking, loading, unloading, and delivery coordination.
Supervise Fleet In-charges and ensure smooth vehicle movement and operational efficiency.
Plan and manage driver schedules, assignments, and trip movements.
Coordinate with clients, warehouses, and loading/unloading locations to ensure timely service delivery.
Monitor GPS and vehicle tracking systems, identify delays, and resolve operational issues.
Handle client interactions and ensure compliance with SLAs.
Maintain accurate vehicle documentation, driver records, trip sheets, and transport-related documents.
Monitor fleet utilization, operating costs, productivity, and overall performance.
Optimize routes and vehicle utilization to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Address driver concerns and resolve on-ground operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Coordinate with maintenance, finance, and stores departments for smooth fleet operations.

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet operations, transportation, or logistics management. Strong knowledge of transportation operations, route planning, and logistics regulations. Proven experience in client handling, team supervision, and operational planning. Experience managing fleet teams and supervising Fleet In-charges. Proficiency in fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and MIS reporting. Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and cost-control skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in transportation and fleet operations, including vehicle movement management, driver coordination, client servicing, and fleet performance monitoring, will be preferred.
