Job summary

GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) seeks a Fleet Manager responsible for 24/7 fleet availability, cost reduction, and preventive maintenance programs across ambulances and assets. You will plan goals, direct fleet staff, manage budgets, review uptime, and ensure compliance with SOPs in consultation with HO and local conditions.

You will build vendor relationships, monitor KPIs like KMPL, tyre life, servicing adherence, and coordinate Go Live audits while maintaining

Responsibilities

• To plan and accomplish goals of department and distribute and direct the work of fleet staff.
• Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
• Preparation of fleet department budgets.
• Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.
• To review off road status daily and improve uptime of the state by keeping down time below 5 %.
• Responsible for bench marking KMPL of vehicle in the state and achieving it.
• Responsible for 100% Schedule Servicing adherence of Fleet.
• Ensuring Optimum Tyre & Battery Life.
• Review Accident vehicles on daily basis and initiate suitable action for recovery of vehicle.
• Responsible for enhancement of competency levels of HO Fleet Coordinators.
• To ensure all fitness renewals are tracker and done in stipulated time line.
• Preparation of Standard operating processes for all the fleet items in consultation with the National HO basing on the Local conditions and implementation.
• Responsible for review of the performance of the zonal workshops and service vans.
• Tracking contractual obligations of Vendors.
• To identify contractual deviations of Vendors.
• Owner for stickering & branding recommended by Marketing dept on Ambulances.
• Build rapport with insurance agencies for smooth processing of claims.
• To support in Go Live Audits.
