Job summary

Cogos Technologies in Chennai seeks a Cargo Fleet Executive for Supply & Operations to manage vendor development, fleet onboarding, and vehicle sourcing. You will coordinate with fleet owners, transporters, and vehicle providers to ensure steady supply and competitive rates.

You will arrange spot-market vehicles daily, negotiate freight terms, and verify vendor documentation (RC, PAN, GST, insurance). 2–4 years in logistics or related roles is preferred, with willingness to work from Chennai

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years in vendor development, fleet onboarding, or vehicle sourcing.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or carrier onboarding.
• Willing to work from Chennai location and related sites.

Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new fleet owners, transporters, and vehicle providers.
• Generate new leads through field visits, referrals, and market intelligence.
• Build a reliable supply of vehicles (FTL) based on business needs.

Vendor & Fleet Owner Acquisition

• Identify and onboard new fleet owners, transporters, and vehicle providers.
• Generate new leads through field visits, referrals, and market intelligence.
• Build a reliable supply of vehicles (FTL) based on business needs.

Vehicle Sourcing

• Arrange spot market vehicles on a daily basis as per operational demand.
• Ensure the availability of vehicles at competitive rates in high-demand lanes.
• Negotiate freight rates and terms with vehicle owners or agents.

Coordination & Documentation

• Ensure all vendor documentation (RC, PAN, GST, insurance, etc.) is collected and verified.
• Coordinate with finance and operations for timely payment and vehicle deployment.
• Maintain a database of active vendors, their fleet strength, and performance.

Experience: 2 to 4 years in vendor development, fleet onboarding, or vehicle sourcing in a logistics, transport aggregator, or freight forwarding company.
