Job summary

Johnson Controls in India seeks a skilled service professional with a Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics to service shipboard Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and fire extinguishing systems. You will diagnose defects, perform retrofit and commissioning, and manage AMC activities to ensure compliance with marine safety standards.

The role requires 2–4 years of hands-on experience, excellent troubleshooting, and strong report-writing skills, with willingness to travel across

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in instrumentation or electronics engineering.
• 2–4 years hands-on service experience on ship systems.
• Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
• Willingness to travel across Indian ports.

What you will do

• Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships.

• Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting.
• Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions.
• Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects.
• Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence.

What we look for

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering

• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on service experience
  

Required

• Expertise in servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems (CO₂, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel across Indian ports.

Preferred

• Knowledge of conventional/addressable fire detection systems.
• Experience with naval and marine ship systems.
