Job summary

Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart buildings and fire safety. We are seeking a Fire Equipment Service Technician to diagnose defects and perform retrofit and commissioning on FDAS and fire extinguishing systems aboard ships.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting, and willingness to travel across Indian ports. Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering is preferred, with 2–4 years of service experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in instrumentation or electronics engineering.
• 2–4 years of hands-on service experience.
• Experience servicing Addressable Fire Detection Systems and Fire Extinguishing Systems on ships.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify defects in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and control panels onboard ships.
• Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems (CO2, FM200, Water Mist, Foam).
• Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS and fire extinguishing systems.
• Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program upload/download.
