We are looking for a Cloud FinOps Lead to drive cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and accountability across multi-cloud environments. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Business teams to ensure cloud spend delivers maximum business value while maintaining cost efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
A. KEY Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cloud financial management across AWS / Azure / GCP environments
- Analyze cloud usage and spend trends; identify cost-saving opportunities
- Drive rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and commitment-based discounts
- Implement chargeback/showback models for business units
- Define and own FinOps framework, policies, and best practices
- Enforce budget controls, alerts, and forecasting mechanisms
- Partner with Finance to align cloud spend with financial planning cycles
>Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a bridge between Engineering, Finance, and Leadership
- Influence engineering teams to build cost-efficient architectures
- Support leadership with cost transparency, KPIs, and executive dashboards
- Provide guidance on cloud pricing models and vendor negotiations
>Reporting & Forecasting:
- Develop dashboards and reports for cost visibility, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audits and compliance requirements related to cloud spend
> Tools & Automation:
- Implement and manage FinOps tools (native & third-party)
- Automate cost optimization, reporting, and anomaly detection
- Evaluate and onboard new tools/processes to improve cost efficiency
B. Qualifications and Experience Requirement
Must Have Skills & Experience
- 6-8+ years in in Cloud Financial Management / FinOps
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cost management
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cloud cost savings
Technical Background
- Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and billing constructs
- Experience with tools such as:
- CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability, or similar FinOps tools
- Good understanding of cloud architecture, containers, and microservices
Financial & Analytical Skills
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to translate technical usage into financial insights
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
