Job summary

FinOps Weekly in Hyderabad is seeking a lead to own end-to-end FinOps across Azure environments, driving cost optimisation, governance, and financial accountability. You will partner with Finance, Procurement and Engineering leadership, deliver executive reporting, and mentor L3 FinOps engineers while guiding tooling architecture and automation.

The role emphasizes strategy, governance, and operational oversight with cross-functional collaboration and hybrid working flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading FinOps in a large-scale cloud estate.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the continuous FinOps lifecycle: Inform, Optimise, Operate.
• Establish and govern the FinOps cadence, runbooks, playbooks, and backlog execution.
• Define commitment strategy, workload optimisation frameworks, and cost-efficient architecture guidelines.
• Oversee execution of optimisation opportunities and ensure sustained outcomes.
• Define and implement chargeback/showback models, budgeting and forecasting frameworks, and cost allocation strategy.
• Drive financial accountability across business units through tagging and subscription hierarchy design.
• Lead policy-driven cost controls, auto-remediation frameworks, dashboards, and billing data modelling.
• Present executive dashboards and cost optimisation roadmaps.
• Engage with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering leadership.

About the Role

This FinOps Lead role owns continuous FinOps services across Azure environments, with responsibility for sustained cost optimisation, governance, and financial accountability in line with NTT FinOps delivery standards. The role combines strategy, governance, and operational oversight to ensure FinOps practices are embedded into engineering and business processes. It sets the direction for optimisation, commitment management, cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. The position works closely with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering leadership, and serves as the single point of ownership for FinOps outcomes. It also includes presenting executive-level reporting, leading enterprise reviews, and mentoring L3 FinOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the continuous FinOps lifecycle: Inform, Optimise, Operate.

• Define and drive commitment strategy, workload optimisation frameworks, and cost-efficient architecture guidelines.

• Define and implement chargeback/showback models, budgeting and forecasting frameworks, and cost allocation strategy.
• Drive financial accountability across business units through tagging and subscription hierarchy design.
• Lead policy-driven cost controls, auto-remediation frameworks, dashboards, and billing data modelling.
• Define the architecture for FinOps tooling and integration with enterprise systems.
• Present executive dashboards and cost optimisation roadmaps.
• Engage with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering leadership.
• Track optimisation backlog progress and closure efficiency.
• Mentor and guide L3 FinOps engineers.
• Lead enterprise-level FinOps reviews and decision forums.

Required Skills

• Experience leading FinOps operations for a large-scale cloud estate.
