Job summary

Melting Pot Concepts in Bengaluru is seeking a hands-on Finance Leader who will own the entire finance and accounts function end-to-end in a high-velocity e-commerce and manufacturing setup, reporting directly to the founders.

You will drive month-end closures, accounting reconciliations across Shopify and marketplaces, product costing, GST, ROC filings, and treasury while building a scalable ERP ecosystem and mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• CA qualification mandatory; CA + CS or MBA in Finance is a plus.
• Experience in controllership for D2C/e-commerce with manufacturing finance exposure (costing, inventory, plant accounting).
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, GST and Indian tax law.
• Excel mastery and comfort with data; SQL/BI tools are a strong plus.
• Founder mindset with ownership, speed, and building systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures with strict timelines; deliver founder-ready MIS covering P&L by channel and brand, working capital, and cash flow.
• Build a single source of truth reconciling revenue across Shopify, marketplaces, and quick-commerce channels (settlements, commissions, returns, TCS/TDS deductions).
• Lead statutory audit, internal audit, and drive a clean, timely audit close.
• Own product costing, BOM-level margin analysis, inventory valuation, and stock reconciliation across factory and warehouses.
• Implement controls over procurement, production variances, wastage, and inter-unit transfers.
• Full ownership of GST (multi-state), TDS/TCS, income tax, ROC/MCA filings, FSSAI-linked financial compliance, and transfer pricing if applicable. Manage banking relationships, working capital limits, vendor payments, and cash flow forecasting.
• Strengthen ERP/accounting systems (Tally/Zoho/NetSuite or similar) and integrate with Shopify and marketplace data; build and mentor the accounts team; institute maker-checker controls.

The Role

You will own the entire finance and accounts function end-to-end: controllership, compliance, treasury, costing, and management reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of a high-velocity e-commerce business and a manufacturing operation, reporting directly to the founders.

Key Responsibilities

Controllership & Reporting

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures with strict timelines; deliver founder-ready MIS covering P&L by channel and brand, working capital, and cash flow
• Build a single source of truth reconciling revenue across Shopify, marketplaces, and quick-commerce channels (settlements, commissions, returns, TCS/TDS deductions)
• Lead statutory audit, internal audit, and drive a clean, timely audit close

Manufacturing Finance

• Own product costing, BOM-level margin analysis, inventory valuation, and stock reconciliation across factory and warehouses

What We're Looking For

• CA (mandatory); CA + CS or MBA (Finance) a plus
• Proven controllership experience in D2C/e-commerce and exposure to manufacturing finance (costing, inventory, plant accounting)
