Paradyes is a fast-growing, completely bootstrapped consumer brand, growing at 100%+ year on year. As the business scales in complexity, volumes, and responsibility, we are looking to onboard a Finance Lead who will own the finance function end-to-end and work closely with the founders. This is not a reporting or support role. This role exists to bring discipline, clarity, and ownership to the financial backbone of the business.
If you enjoy being close to the numbers, solving real problems, and building systems in a growing organisation, this role will suit you.
Core Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and completeness of books.
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual closing with strict timelines.
- Ensure clean ledgers across vendors, customers, banks, and inter-company accounts.
- Review and supervise AP, AR, expense booking, accruals, and adjustments.
- Maintain books up to finalisation with audit readiness at all times.
Banking & Working Capital Management
- Manage banking relationships, OD limits, and working capital utilisation.
- Track daily cash position and near‑term cash flow requirements.
- Support limit renewals, enhancements, and documentation with banks.
- Ensure strong financial hygiene and timely reporting to build long‑term banking trust.
Compliance & Governance
- Oversee statutory compliances including GST, TDS, TCS, income tax, PF, ESIC and related filings.
- Coordinate with external consultants, CAs, and auditors while retaining internal ownership.
- Review returns, reconciliations, and notices before submission.
- Maintain strong documentation standards for audits and regulatory reviews.
Reconciliations & Controls
- Own complex reconciliations, including marketplace settlements (Nykaa, Amazon, Blinkit, etc.).
- Handle discount, commission, debit note, and marketing deduction reconciliations accurately.
- Strengthen internal controls and reduce recurring errors through process improvements.
MIS & Founder Support
- Prepare reliable MIS that founders can take decisions on.
- Track margins, costs, inventory movement, and cash flow trends.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning as the business scales.
- Act as a thought partner to founders on financial implications of growth decisions.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 4 to 8 years of relevant, hands‑on finance experience.
- Strong exposure to accounting, closing, compliances, and reconciliations.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, FMCG, D2C, or fast-growing businesses preferred.
- Experience working closely with banks and managing working capital is highly desirable.
- CA or equivalent qualification preferred, but not mandatory if experience is strong.
Skills
- Strong accounting fundamentals and attention to detail.
- Practical understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Comfort with Excel and accounting systems (Tally, Zoho Books, ERP exposure is a plus).
- Ability to independently own problems and see them through closure.
- Clear communication and comfort working directly with founders.
