Job summary

Scrubsy, India’s #1 foam-based household cleaner, is seeking a Finance Controller to own the company's finance and accounts function end-to-end from Gurugram. You will ensure timely MIS, statutory and tax compliance, and support leadership on financial strategy.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with 5+ years in finance, experience closing books, liaising with auditors and banks, and driving budgeting, forecasting and internal controls in a fast-growing D2C environment.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with prior experience as a Finance Controller or in a senior finance leadership role.
• Proven experience liaising directly with statutory auditors, internal auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to close audits and resolve queries
• Strong, demonstrated track record of statutory and tax compliance — GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.
• Track record of delivering MIS and books closures on time and maintaining monthly closing discipline
• Experience supporting business and finance decisions through data analysis, forecasting, and financial insights

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS preparation and ensure it is delivered management on timely basis
• Lead end-to-end books closure, accounts finalization, and preparation of statutory financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for liaisoning with various stakeholders
• Drive end-to-end statutory and tax compliance — GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory filing and ensuring zero compliance gaps
• Partner with management on financial decision-making, providing analysis on pricing, cost drivers, profitability, and business performance
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis against annual budgets
• Oversee banking and treasury operations, cash flow management, and working capital
• Design and implement internal financial controls (IFC) and related SOPs
• Manage finance workflows and support as needed

Brief: We are looking for a Finance Controller to own the company's finance and accounts function end-to-end. This role is responsible for accurate and timely MIS, robust statutory and tax compliance, smooth closure of statutory and internal audits, and being a trusted finance partner to leadership on key business decisions. The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant who is equally comfortable finalizing books, liaising with auditors and banks, and advising leadership on financial strategy.

What We Are Looking For
