Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with relevant experience in a Finance Manager role.
  • Strong experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, MIS, cash flow, and management reporting.
  • Good understanding of accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a Finance & Accounts team.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in an IT/ITES/BPO environment would be an advantage.

Job description

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead and manage the organization's finance function, with primary responsibility for financial planning, analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, reporting, and financial controls. The role will also provide oversight of the accounting. function to ensure accurate books, timely reconciliations, statutory compliance, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Management

  • Manage the overall finance function and ensure effective financial planning and control.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Develop and present monthly MIS and management reports, including variance analysis.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for business decisions.
  • Track budgets against actuals and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Support business leaders with financial analysis, costing, pricing, and investment decisions.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate financial controls and processes.
  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management.

2. Accounts Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities and provide guidance to the Accounts team.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
  • Ensure timely closure of monthly and annual accounts.
  • Oversee invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and employee-related accounting activities.
  • Review GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements.
  • Ensure accounting policies and applicable statutory requirements are followed.

3. Team & Process Management

  • Lead, guide, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
  • Define responsibilities, review performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Improve finance and accounting processes through automation and standardization.
  • Identify process gaps and implement appropriate controls.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company policies.

Qualification & Experience

  • Typically, 8–12 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with relevant experience in a Finance Manager role.
  • Strong experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, MIS, cash flow, and management reporting.
  • Good understanding of accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a Finance & Accounts team.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in an IT/ITES/BPO environment would be an advantage.
