Job summary

Comaea Consulting in Pune seeks a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical to provide on-site and off-site engineering support for company-installed equipment across South Asia. You will install, commission, validate and maintain capital marine equipment, and collaborate with technicians and clients to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or marine engineering degree required.
• 5+ years of field experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning in marine/shipping/offshore.
• Experience with marine capital equipment (engine, gearbox, propeller).
• Willingness to travel 65-75% within South Asia and occasionally other international locations.
• Independent, hardworking and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, validation and maintenance of capital equipment onsite and at company workshop.
• Serve as customer-facing technical resource and collaborate with technicians and clients.
• Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair logs in company database.
• Ensure workshop is well maintained and tools/equipment are accessible.

Field Service Engineer - Mechanical

(Based in Pune)

ORGANISATION:

You will be reporting to the Head of Technical Department and will be in charge of providing both onsite and offsite engineering service and support to customers to resolve any technical and operational issues on the company installed equipments in South Asia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical expertise and customer support: Installation, commissioning, validation and maintenance of capital equipment onsite and at company workshop.
• Customer support: Serve as customer facing technical resource and work in collaboration with technicians and clients.
• Documentation: Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair log in the company enterprise database.
• Workshop management: Make sure that the company workshop is well maintained, the tools and equipments are clean and easily available to use.

YOUR PROFILE:

• A mechanical engineer or marine engineer by qualification.
• You have over 5 years of technical(field) experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning work in marine or shipping or offshore industry.
• You have experience working on marine capital equipments like engine, gearbox, propeller.
• You are passionate about engineering, machinery and like to be at the cutting edge of technology.
• You are a keen learner and are able to analyse complex situations.
• Independent, hardworking and hands on, you get excited by challenges tasks.
• You enjoy travel; the role requires around 65- 75% travel across South Asia and at times other international locations to support the Group.
