Job summary

Comaea Consulting seeks a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical based in Mumbai to deliver on-site and off-site service for marine capital equipment across South Asia. You will install, commission, validate, and maintain equipment at customer sites and in the workshop, working closely with technicians and clients.

• Qualified mechanical or marine engineer with 5+ years of field experience in repairs, maintenance and commissioning.
• Experience with marine capital equipment such as engines, gearboxes and propellers.
• Willingness to travel extensively across South Asia and internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, validation and maintenance of capital equipment at customer sites and in the workshop.
• Serve as a customer-facing technical resource and collaborate with technicians and clients.
• Create and maintain installation data, service information and repair logs in the company database.
• Ensure workshop is well maintained and tools/equipment are organized and accessible.

Our client is a global manufacturing company, a market leader in maritime sector manufacturing marine capital equipment. In order to grow the organization and strengthen its engineering team our client wants to recruit:

Field Service Engineer - Mechanical

(Based in Mumbai)

ORGANISATION:

You will be reporting to the Head of Technical Department and will be in charge of providing both onsite and offsite engineering service and support to customers to resolve any technical and operational issues on the company installed equipments in South Asia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical expertise and customer support: Installation, commissioning, validation and maintenance of capital equipment onsite and at company workshop.
• Customer support: Serve as customer facing technical resource and work in collaboration with technicians and clients.
• Documentation: Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair log in the company enterprise database.
• Workshop management: Make sure that the company workshop is well maintained, the tools and equipments are clean and easily available to use.

YOUR PROFILE:

• A mechanical engineer or marine engineer by qualification.
• You have over 5 years of technical(field) experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning work in marine or shipping or offshore industry.
• You have experience working on marine capital equipments like engine, gearbox, propeller.
• You are passionate about engineering, machinery and like to be at the cutting edge of technology.
• You are a keen learner and are able to analyse complex situations.
• Independent, hardworking and hands on, you get excited by challenges tasks.
• You enjoy travel; the role requires around 65- 75% travel across South Asia and at times other international locations to support the Group.
