Job summary

Tmeic Industrial Systems in Pune is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer specializing in VFD/Drive systems. The role involves startup, commissioning, and integration of drives with automation networks, plus on-site troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

You will coordinate with engineers to ensure customer requirements are met and will generate detailed documentation for project records. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in VFD/Drive Field Service Industry.
• Solid knowledge on VFD/Drive and its functionality.
• Knowledge of Electronics Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Communication Interfaces like Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, BMS, Profibus.
• Breakdown handling experience of VFD/Drive, Inverters, Converters.
• Strong Analytical skills. Passion to Succeed and eager to learn new technologies.
• Knowledge of PQA, Meter, AutoCAD, and Customer handling capability.

Responsibilities

• Startup and commissioning of Medium Voltage AC Drives.
• Interface between Drives and Automation system using networks (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet).
• Install and commission industrial control systems and tune regulators.
• Follow document control processes per standards.
• Demonstrate engineered functions meet customer requirements per project specs.
• Generate supporting documentation per team and customer requirements.
• Maintain TAT and uptime of product under warranty and service contracts.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities per service contract.
• Deliver product training as per project/contract agreement.
• Coordinate Post Sales Support department activities.
• Adhere to engineering best practices, standards, and processes.
• Suggest and implement improvements to processes and standards.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team with various stakeholders.
• Conduction of load study & field efficiency assessments.
• Advanced analysis of field-related incidents.

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Startup and commissioning of Medium Voltage AC Drives.
• Interface between Drives and Automation system using different network e.g. Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet.
• Install and commission industrial control systems including tune-up of closed loop regulators and troubleshoot process application problems.
• Follow document control process as per the standards prevailing.
• Work with application and system engineers to demonstrate that engineered functions meet customer requirements as defined in project specifications.
• Generate supporting documentation as per team and customer requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining TAT and uptime of product under warranty & with service contract.
• Responsible for executing preventive maintenance activities as per service contract.
• Responsible for delivering product training as per project/contract agreement.
• Coordinating the entire activity of the Post Sales Support (Service & Support area) department.
• Adhere to engineering best practices, design standards, and engineering processes for the development.
• Suggest and implement improvements to processes and standards when appropriate.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team consisting of various stake holders.
