Job summary

TeamLease Digital Private Ltd. is seeking a Deployment Engineer for Broadband and Wi‑Fi support across Tamil Nadu. You will install, configure, activate, test, and maintain Airtel broadband and Wi‑Fi at customer locations, handling technical issues and ensuring service quality.

The role requires travel within the territory, strong customer handling, and adherence to safety and SOPs, with opportunities for growth in field service.

Responsibilities

• Install and activate Airtel broadband and Wi‑Fi at customer premises.
• Configure Wi‑Fi routers, ONT devices, and LAN connections.
• Route, terminate, splice fiber and perform testing as needed.
• Diagnose connectivity issues and customer-premises equipment problems.
• Test connections and verify service quality before closing tickets.
• Coordinate with supervisors and technicians to resolve faults.
• Maintain installation records and test results in the system.
• Explain router basics to customers and ensure proper operation.
• Travel to various installation sites within Tamil Nadu.
• Follow safety procedures and company SOPs.
• Meet productivity and service-level targets.

Job Summary

The Deployment Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, activating, testing, and maintaining Airtel broadband and Wi-Fi connections at residential and commercial customer locations. The role requires technical troubleshooting, customer handling, adherence to service quality standards, and timely completion of assigned installation and service requests.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install and activate Airtel broadband and Wi-Fi connections at customer premises.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi routers, ONT devices, and LAN connections.
3. Perform fiber-optic cable routing, termination, splicing, and testing as required by the assigned role.
4. Diagnose and resolve internet connectivity, slow-speed, router, and Wi-Fi coverage issues.
5. Conduct connection testing and verify service quality before closing installation or complaint tickets.
6. Handle new installations, shifting, reconnections, upgrades, and maintenance visits.
7. Maintain installation records, equipment details, test results, and job status in the company application or system.
8. Explain basic router operation and connectivity to customers.
9. Coordinate with supervisors, network teams, and other technicians to resolve complex faults.
10. Follow company standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and customer service standards.
11. Meet assigned productivity, quality, and service-level targets.

Educational Qualification

• 10th / 12th pass, ITI, Diploma, or Degree, depending on the vacancy.
• Technical education in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or Networking may be preferred for certain positions.

Experience

• Prior experience in broadband installation, FTTH, fiber maintenance, Wi-Fi configuration, or telecom field service is preferred for experienced positions.
• Candidates should be capable of independently performing assigned technical tasks.

Required Technical Skills

• FTTH and fiber-optic broadband fundamentals.
• Wi-Fi router and ONT installation and configuration.
• LAN cabling, Ethernet connections, and basic networking.
• Basic knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and connectivity testing.
• Fault diagnosis and customer-premises equipment troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with installation tools and testing equipment.

Other Requirements

• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence, where required.
• Smartphone for work orders and service-ticket updates.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will depend on experience, location, technical skills, and employment arrangement. The package may include fixed pay, performance incentives, Provident Fund (PF), ESI, and applicable insurance benefits.

Work Environment

This is primarily a field-based role involving travel to customer homes, apartments, offices, and other installation locations. Working hours, weekly offs, job targets, and on-call duties will depend on the assigned team.
