Job summary

Captalent Hr is seeking an experienced Factories Compliance Lead in Chennai to manage factory and labour law compliance for multiple manufacturing clients. You will oversee registrations, licensing, records, inspections, and regulatory updates, guiding a team and ensuring timely statutory submissions.

The role requires strong knowledge of Factory Acts, Labour Codes, and contract labour compliance, with client-facing responsibilities and travel to client locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of Factory Laws and Labour Laws.
• Hands-on experience in factory registration, licensing, renewal and amendments.
• Good knowledge of factory statutory registers, records and returns.
• Experience in handling Factory Inspector / Labour Department inspections.
• Good knowledge of Contract Labour compliance.
• Working knowledge of PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, PT and LWF.
• Good understanding of the OSH Code and New Labour Codes.
• Experience in compliance audits and gap analysis.
• Strong client handling and advisory skills.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple factory clients simultaneously.
• Strong follow-up, problem-solving and team management skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Willingness to travel to factory/client locations as required.

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Factories Compliance Lead to manage factory and labour law compliance for multiple manufacturing clients.

The person should have strong practical knowledge of Factories Act/Rules, factory licensing, statutory registers and returns, working hours, overtime, leave, wages, welfare and safety requirements, contract labour and applicable labour laws. The role will involve client handling, compliance audits, inspection support, statutory submissions, regulatory updates and guiding the compliance team.

Graduate / Post Graduate in Law, Labour Law, HR, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.

LLB / Labour Law qualification will be an added advantage.
