Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Technical Operations Manager for on-site responsibilities in Mumbai to oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety, and elevator systems. You will develop preventive maintenance, monitor BAS and energy management, and coordinate emergency response.

You will lead engineers and technicians, manage vendor relationships, and develop annual budgets while ensuring adherence to building codes and safety programs across local and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in commercial facility management or technical services.
• 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Understanding of building automation systems and energy management.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and elevator systems
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifecycle and minimize downtime
• Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and business continuity planning
• Lead and mentor technical staff, including engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel
• Manage relationships with external contractors, service providers, and vendors
• Oversee contractor performance, ensuring quality standards and cost-effectiveness
• Develop and manage annual technical services budgets
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
• Manage environmental health and safety programs
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and maintain required certifications
• Implement and monitor safety protocols and training programs
