Job summary

SOBHA Limited’s Glazing & Metal Works (GMW) division seeks a Facade Estimation Manager/Engineer to drive tendering, estimation, budgeting and commercial proposals for facade projects across India. You will coordinate with design, planning, procurement and project teams to deliver competitive, technically sound offers.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in facade glazing, strong vendor negotiation skills and proven ability to manage complex tenders from enquiry to handover.

Qualifications

• BE/ME Mechanical or Civil Engineering qualification.
• 10–15 years of experience in facade glazing estimation and tendering.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, value engineering and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage tendering and estimation process for facade projects from enquiry to handover.
• Prepare pre-bid docs, participate in pre-bid meetings and clarify scope.
• Coordinate with Design to understand complexity and identify value engineering options.
• Prepare detailed project quotations and coordinate with vendors for competitive pricing.
• Submit commercial and technical proposals and engage in initial client negotiations.
• Incorporate client/management feedback and finalize offers.
• Handover documentation and coordinate with project teams post-award.

Role Purpose

SOBHA Limited operates through a backward-integrated business model with significant in-house construction, engineering, manufacturing and project execution capabilities. The Glazing & Metal Works (GMW) division supports facade projects through integrated design, estimation, procurement, manufacturing and project execution capabilities across India. The Facade Estimation Manager / Engineer will be responsible for managing the tendering and estimation process for facade projects, from enquiry and tender review through project award and handover. The role will focus on developing competitive technical and commercial proposals, value engineering, vendor negotiations, project budgeting and coordination with design, planning, procurement and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the tendering and estimation process, including review of project enquiries, tender documents, scope and specifications.
• Prepare pre-bid documentation, participate in pre-bid meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants for scope and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with the Design team to understand project complexity, develop feasible solutions and identify value engineering opportunities for cost and performance optimization.
• Prepare detailed project quotations and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing while ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Prepare and submit commercial and technical proposals and participate in initial negotiation meetings with clients.
• Review feedback and inputs from clients and management and revise and finalize offers accordingly.
• Upon project award, prepare detailed handover documentation and coordinate with Project, Design and Planning teams for smooth transition.
• Develop project budgets, obtain necessary approvals and coordinate with Planning and Purchase teams to ensure procurement within approved rates and quantities.
• Prepare and submit Non-Tender (NT) items and amendment requests during project execution and coordinate with clients for approvals and revised or additional work orders.

Qualification & Experience

• BE / ME Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 to 10 years of experience in the Facade Glazing Industry.
