Job summary

Assystem GmbH in India is seeking a façade engineer to design and develop facade and building envelope systems for airport terminals and related structures.

You will prepare concept, schematic, and detailed engineering drawings, perform wind, seismic, and thermal analysis of curtain wall and glazing systems, and coordinate with architects, structural and MEP teams to ensure safe, compliant installations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop facade and building envelope systems for airport terminals.
• Prepare facade concept, schematic design, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Design and analyze curtain wall systems, glazing systems, skylights, aluminum cladding, and structural glazing.
• Perform structural analysis of facade systems considering wind loads, seismic loads, and thermal movements.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and airport planners.
• Review and approval of contractor shop drawings and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, airport design standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and technical support during installation of facade systems.
• Review mock-ups, prototypes, and testing reports such as air permeability, water penetration, and structural performance.
