Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design development of curtain wall, cladding, rainscreen, and louvre systems
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate into detailed faade design packages
  • Coordinate with UK-based teams to support tendering, procurement, and installation planning
• Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, system specifications, and project standards
  • Use relevant design software (AutoCAD, SchCAL, etc.) to produce and review technical drawings
• Manage workflow and junior support staff (as the team grows)
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior designers and drafters.
• Review supplier, contractor, and fabricator drawings to ensure compliance and integration with the overall faade system.
• Conduct design checks for constructability, thermal and structural performance, tolerances, and material compatibility.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, project managers, and UK-based stakeholders.
• Ensure all drawings and calculations adhere to relevant BS/EN standards, CWCT guidelines, and UK Building Regulations.
• Support project delivery from concept stage through fabrication and installation phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in faade Design Management.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D faade detailing.
• Solid understanding of curtain wall systems, unitized faades, rainscreen cladding, aluminum and glass systems.
• Knowledge of fabrication, assembly processes, and practical installation considerations.
• Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.

Desired Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of 3D/BIM software such as Revit, Rhino, or other parametric tools.
• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, CWCT standards, and faade performance requirements.
• Ability to interpret structural reports, thermal calculations, and performance specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong coordination capability across disciplines and with international project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
