NDS is a luxury natural stone company backed by RK Marble Group and Wonder Cement, working in granite, marble, quartzite, and semi-precious stones, with premium finishes, backlit stone, and cut-to-size panels made on Italian machinery.
The Export Manager owns NDS's international business from first inquiry to cash realised and is accountable for every export order.
Export sales: minimum 3 years owning overseas customers: quotations, negotiation, payment terms and order closure.
Natural stone: minimum 3 years in marble, granite, quartzite, semi-precious or engineered stone, with working knowledge of finishes, grading, thickness, packing and breakage risk.
1. Market development and pipeline. Run a prioritised country and segment plan across importers, distributors, architects, designers, developers and stone companies. Generate leads through trade platforms, fairs, references and direct outreach; keep every opportunity in CRM.
2. Commercial ownership. Convert inquiries to orders. Prepare and negotiate quotations, pricing and payment terms, protecting margin and payment security (advance, LC or approved credit). Convert customer needs (stone, finish, size, thickness, quantity) into written specifications.
3. Order-to-delivery execution. Own each order from confirmation to delivery: brief Production, Purchase, and Accounts in writing, secure pre-dispatch quality sign‑off, plan packing and containers, and keep the customer updated.
4. Quality, documentation and compliance. Ensure every shipment is export‑quality: coordinate quality control against customer specifications (finish, thickness, size, shade, tolerance) before dispatch, and enforce export packaging standards (crating, bundling, and protection against transit breakage), sharing pre‑dispatch pictures with the customer. Own the accuracy of the Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Shipping Bill and Bill of Lading, plus destination‑specific requirements. Manage CHA, freight forwarders and shipping lines; ensure export proceeds are realised in line with applicable regulations.
5. Intelligence and MIS. Track market trends, pricing and competitors. Submit a weekly pipeline report and a monthly review (conversion, orders, receivables); keep CRM/ERP current.
1. Ownership without hand‑holding. You run your customers and pipeline independently; speed matters.
2. Escalate early, challenge openly. Escalate delays, quality issues, and payment risks to seniors immediately. You are expected to question any decision with facts, regardless of rank.
3. Honest numbers. Pipeline and forecasts reflect reality.
4. Documented, not remembered. Customer terms, specifications, and decisions are recorded in CRM/ERP.
