Job summary

Apollo Tyres Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking an Executive - Tyre Engineer (Outsource PD support) to conduct NPD and technical trials at the outsource unit, publish reports to R&D, and ensure adherence to ATL standards.

You will prepare green tyre designs, BOM/specifications, perform feasibility checks, and support SAP BOM processes with the OS tech team. This role demands strong APQP/IATF16949 knowledge and practical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years in Tyre engineering / process technology.
• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Rubber/Polymer/Production/Automobile/Mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Proto/Improvement trials follow-up at each station with key parameter capture.
• Proto sample preparation & dispatch as per plan.
• Publish proto trials test reports & support QR3 sign-off.
• Feasibility checks for NPD and new process as per requirement.
• SAP BOM maintenance and specification control.
• Green tyre & component design to meet cured layout.
• FG defect classification daily and report MIS.
• Support process defect analysis and corrective actions with OS tech team.
• Initiate mould and tool modifications related to tech trials/NPDs.
• RIC visit for field complaint tyre analysis with outsource team.
• Monthly development plan discussion and alignment with outsource team.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible forConducting NPD & technical trials at outsource unit and publish report to R&D. Make green tyre design, prepare specification / BOM and signoff with OS tech team. Conduct technical feasibility. Ensure New product quality compliance, conduct daily defect / scrap classification of and initiate appropriate actions in shop floor. Maintain and verify adherence of ATL technical standards.

Major Responsibilities

1. Proto/Improvement Trials follow-up at each station to ensure and record all the critical parameters as per TRF/MFS
2. Proto sample preparation & dispatch as per plan
3. Publish proto trials test reports & support QR3 signoff.
4. Feasibility checks for NPD and New Process as per requirement
5. SAP BOM maintenance and specification issue & control.
6. Green tyre & component design for meeting the cured tyre layout.
7. FG defect classification on Shift / Daily and report in MIS.
8. Support process defect analysis & initiate corrective actions in coordination with OS tech team.
9. Initiate mould and tool modification related to tech trials / NPDs (Inspections & commercial procedures PR&POs)
10. RIC visit for field complaint tyre analysis along with outsource team, Report manufacturing related and other concerns.
11. Monthly development plan discuss and align with outsource team.
