Job summary

Bcs Consulting is seeking an Operations & Documentation Executive Exports to work from our Mylapore, Chennai office. The role focuses on end-to-end export operations (Air & Ocean) including bookings, documentation, and billing coordination.

Full-time, permanent position based in Chennai. The candidate will manage shipment lifecycles, liaise with shippers and overseas agents, and ensure accurate BL/AWB, SI filings and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end Air and Ocean export operations and documentation.
• Knowledge of BL and AWB preparation and SI filing.
• Familiarity with customs basics and freight forwarding software/portals.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Export Execution: manage shipment lifecycles from booking to delivery and clearance.
• Carrier bookings and coordination with ocean/air freight lines.
• Export documentation: file SI, draft/finalize BL, prepare AWB ensuring zero discrepancy.
• Billing & finance coordination: generate and dispatch Proforma Invoices, coordinate with accounts for timely closure.
• Stakeholder management: liaise with shippers, overseas agents, shipping lines and transport partners to track shipments.

• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Export Execution: Manage entire shipment lifecycles from booking placement through to final cargo delivery and clearance.
• Carrier Bookings & Coordination: Place and secure bookings with ocean carriers and air freight lines in a timely manner.
• Export Documentation: File Shipping Instructions (SI), draft and finalize Bills of Lading (BL), and prepare Airway Bills (AWB) ensuring zero discrepancy.
• Billing & Finance Coordination: Generate, verify, and dispatch Proforma Invoices, coordinating with accounts for timely billing closures.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise daily with shippers, overseas agents, shipping lines, and transport partners to track and report shipment statuses.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Experience: Proven experience in end-to-end Air and Ocean export operations and documentation within the freight forwarding industry.
• Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of Bill of Lading (BL) / Airway Bill (AWB) preparation, SI filing, customs compliance basics, and freight forwarding software/portals.
• Work Mode: Must be available for full-time work from our Mylapore, Chennai office.
