Job summary

Indosol Solar is seeking an experienced Customs & Logistics professional to manage inbound/outbound activities, EXIM compliance, and SAP invoicing across our supply chain. The role requires close coordination with freight forwarders, CHAs, customs authorities, suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

The successful candidate will bring 4–8 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of EXIM procedures, and hands-on SAP

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in commerce, business, logistics, or related field.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in customs, EXIM, logistics, or supply chain.
• Experience with SAP Invoicing and dispatch operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Manage inland and overseas logistics operations and coordinate with freight forwarders and CHAs.
• Prepare freight cost estimates and commercial comparisons for service providers.
• Handle import/export documentation, including Bills of Entry, Certificates of Origin, and related documents.

Job description

We are looking for experienced Customs & Logistics professionals to support and manage inbound and outbound logistics, freight forwarding, EXIM operations, customs documentation, commercial coordination, shipment costing, SAP invoicing, and statutory compliance.

The role will involve close coordination with Freight Forwarders, CHAs, Customs Authorities, Suppliers, Buyers, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, Plant Commercial, and Logistics teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of materials and finished goods.

Suitable candidates may be considered for roles based on their expertise in Freight Forwarding & Costing, EXIM & Liaisoning, or SAP Invoicing & Commercial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Forwarding & Logistics

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Manage inland and overseas logistics operations.
• Coordinate with Freight Forwarders, CHAs, transporters, shipping lines, and other logistics service providers.
• Monitor shipment schedules and prioritize urgent and critical shipments.
• Track shipments and ensure timely material delivery at the required location.
• Prepare logistics RFQs and obtain quotations from service providers.
• Prepare commercial comparisons and support service provider selection.
• Analyze and optimize transportation modes including Air Freight, Sea Freight, LCL, FCL, Road and Multimodal Transportation.
• Prepare freight and logistics cost estimations for project cargo and bulk material shipments.
• Identify logistics risks, delays, and bottlenecks and coordinate timely resolution.

EXIM & Customs Compliance

• Handle and review Import and Export documentation.
• Verify Bills of Entry, Bills of Export, Certificates of Origin, Shipping Documents, Customs Clearance Documents, and related statutory documents.
• Coordinate with CHAs and Customs authorities for smooth clearance of import and export shipments.
• Support documentation and compliance related to:
  • EPCG
  • IGCR
  • DGFT
  • Import / Export Licenses
  • Statutory Returns
  • License Maintenance
• Ensure compliance with Customs, EXIM, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate for import and export certifications as applicable.
• Maintain accurate EXIM records and documentation.

Commercial & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with logistics service providers and vendors for quotations, commercial terms, and delivery schedules.
• Support commercial discussions and negotiations with logistics service providers.
• Process and coordinate timely payments to suppliers and service providers.
• Maintain commercial records, cost data, and logistics-related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for approval of logistics requirements and commercial proposals.

SAP, Invoicing & Dispatch Operations

• Handle invoicing and waybill generation for Finished Goods (FG) and Scrap Dispatches.
• Ensure correct item description and duty structure mapping in SAP.
• Work with SAP SD/MM modules for invoicing and transaction processing.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Operations, Plant Commercial, and Logistics teams for dispatch activities.
• Handle E-Way Bill and other dispatch documentation.
• Resolve invoice, waybill, and SAP-related discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate SAP records and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance for GST-related issues and compliance.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, customs documents, invoices, and statutory compliance.
• Track shipment status and generate periodic logistics reports.
• Prepare MIS and performance reports for management.
• Maintain documentation related to logistics operations, EXIM, customs, invoicing, and compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory and internal reports.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or any relevant discipline.

Candidates with qualifications or experience in International Business, EXIM, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or Commercial Operations will be preferred.

• Hands-on experience in Import and Export documentation.
• Knowledge of EPCG, IGCR and DGFT processes.
• Experience in freight costing and logistics commercial evaluation.
• SAP SD/MM experience preferred.
• Good understanding of GST, invoicing and E-Way Bill processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and work under tight deadlines.
