Job summary

PeopleStrong invites a qualified QA professional to join our CMU/production team in India. You will drive quality & food safety standards, lead GMP/HACCP compliance, and oversee end-to-end quality at the CMU, ensuring consistent recipe adherence and regulatory alignment.

You will coordinate with DSHQ and CMU operations, conduct in-process checks, generate quality reports, and implement corrective actions while supporting NPD trials and cost-control initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in related discipline.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and regulatory compliances.
• Experience in food quality/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with DSHQ and CMU operations to ensure HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
• Verify incoming raw and packing materials against specifications.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and finished goods inspections.
• Drive skill and competence programs on the shop floor.
• Maintain quality and food safety documentation.
• Oversee GMP and CMU quality ratings and ensure legal metrology compliance.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions for shop-floor quality and customer complaints.
• Produce statistical reports on quality standards.
• Escalate quality and food safety issues to top management.
• Support NPD & Trials with R&D/site team.

Job Description

• Coordinate with DSHQ team and CMU operation team to ensure implementation of Quality & Food Safety standards and their consistent compliances i.e. HACCP, Traceability, GMP, Regulatory/ Statuary compliances etc.
• Ensure all incoming raw and packing materials are from approved vendors and verified against standard specifications.
• Conduct in-process Quality checks and finished goods inspection.
• Drive a skill & competence building program at the shop floor to achieve consistent shop floor practices.
• Responsible for handling various documentation related to Quality & Food Safety.
• Ensuring products are complying with Legal Metrology and Food safety standards.
• To oversee the overall GMP and to ensure the quality rating of the CMU at the targeted levels.
• Responsible for end to end strategizing and maintaining the quality standards by keeping a check on the process, material, timelines etc.
• Monitor and control cost variance including material usage variances and wastages.
• S upporting various NPD & Trials projects with R&D /site team.
• Ensuring products at CMU are being produced as per standard recipe.
• Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
• Escalating Quality & Food Safety issues with top management.
• Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective and Preventive action plans for shop-floor quality & Food Safety issues and for customer complaints.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Compliance to product parameters as per specifications. – 100% for RM & FG
• Continuous improvements in quality KPIs such as DPM, RFT etc.
• Weekly/monthly Quality reporting as per the agreed checklist
• Ensure the quality plan is updated and adhered to
