Job summary

DS Group is seeking a QA Executive for its CMU Operation to strategize and maintain quality standards across processes, materials, and timelines. You will ensure HACCP, GMP, regulatory compliance, and robust documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Post Graduate/Graduate in food technology or MSc Chemistry with 5–8 years of FMCG experience, preferably in Chocolate/Confectionery. You will drive shop-floor training, ensure supplier conformity, and produce quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate/Graduate in food technology or MSc Chemistry.
• 5-8 years of experience, preferably in a good FMCG organization on Chocolate / Confectionery category.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with DSHQ team and CMU operation team to ensure implementation of Quality & Food Safety standards (HACCP, Traceability, GMP, Regulatory/Statutory compliances).
• Ensure all incoming raw and packing materials are from approved vendors and verified against standard specifications.
• Conduct in-process Quality checks and finished goods inspection.
• Drive a skill & competence building program at the shop floor to achieve consistent shop floor practices.
• Responsible for handling various documentation related to Quality & Food Safety.
• Ensuring products comply with Legal Metrology and Food safety standards.
• Oversee the GMP and maintain CMU quality ratings at target levels.
• End-to-end strategizing to maintain quality standards across processes, materials, and timelines.
• Monitor and control cost variance including material usage and wastages.
• Support NPD & Trials with R&D/site team.
• Ensure CMU products are produced per standard recipe.
• Produce statistical reports on quality standards.
• Escalate Quality & Food Safety issues to top management.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions.

Education:

Post Graduate/Graduate in food technology or MSc Chemistry.

Experience:

5-8 Years, preferable if the person has a stint with a good FMCG organization on Chocolate / Confectionery category

Job Description:

• Supporting various NPD & Trials projects with R&D /site team.
• Ensuring products at CMU are being produced as per standard recipe.
• Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
• Escalating Quality & Food Safety issues with top management.
• Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective and Preventive action plans for shop-floor quality & Food Safety issues and for customer complaints.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Compliance to product parameters as per specifications. – 100% for RM & FG
• Continuous improvements in quality KPIs such as DPM, RFT etc.
• Weekly/monthly Quality reporting as per the agreed checklist
• Ensure the quality plan is updated and adhered to
