Job summary

Rudra Real Estate in Kanpur is seeking an experienced Procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials and related requirements for multiple projects. You will source cement, steel, tiles, paints, and other items, evaluate vendors, prepare CS, negotiate terms, and issue POs while coordinating with site, planning, stores, and accounts.

Strong knowledge of materials, market rates, and ERP experience are required; excellent negotiation and communication skills are

Qualifications

  • Experience with real estate developers, residential/commercial construction projects, EPC companies, or contracting organizations.
  • Graduate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in real estate/construction procurement or purchase.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
  • Good skills in vendor development, quotation comparison, rate negotiation, and purchase order management.
  • Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and purchase/procurement software/ERP.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and urgent site requirements.
  • Strong follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, equipment, tools, and project-related requirements.
  • Source materials such as cement, steel, RMC, bricks/blocks, sand, aggregates, tiles, sanitaryware, plumbing, electrical, hardware, waterproofing, paints, and other construction materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers as per project requirements.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements (CS), and negotiate rates, payment terms, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve best possible rates and commercial terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Coordinate with Project/Site, Planning, Stores, Billing, Accounts, and Management teams for timely procurement.
  • Monitor material requirements, delivery schedules, pending orders, and ensure timely delivery at project sites.
  • Verify material specifications, quantities, and quality requirements in coordination with the concerned site/technical team.
  • Maintain records of vendor quotations, purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and procurement MIS.
  • Develop and maintain a database of approved vendors and regularly evaluate vendor performance.
  • Track market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
  • Resolve issues related to material shortages, quality, delays, transportation, and vendor payments in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Ensure procurement is carried out as per approved specifications, budgets, project schedules, and company policies.
  • Prepare regular purchase/procurement reports and MIS for management.
