Job summary

Kama Jewelry in Mumbai seeks an Engineering Graduate with 2–3 years in Production Planning / PPC to translate production requirements into executable plans and ensure OTIF delivery, optimal TAT, and full capacity utilization. You will monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans and coordinate with key departments to prevent delays.

Strong data analysis, Excel/MIS proficiency, and hands-on Kaizen/Six Sigma experience are essential to drive continuous improvement and maintain MIS dashboards

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with 2–3 years in Production Planning / PPC.
• Strong data analysis and numerical aptitude with Excel/MIS.
• Hands-on exposure to Kaizen and Six Sigma is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Translate production requirements into executable plans and monitor OTIF delivery, TAT, and capacity utilization.
• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans in line with commitments.
• Drive OTIF performance and proactively coordinate with Production, PPC, Procurement, Inventory and Quality.
• Identify bottlenecks, communicate deviations, and escalate risks to keep schedules on track.
• Maintain planning MIS, trackers, dashboards and exception reports for management review.

Job description

Responsible for translating production requirements into executable plans, ensuring OTIF delivery, optimum TAT, full capacity utilization and zero avoidable delays through disciplined planning, data-driven tracking and proactive stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans in line with customer delivery commitments and available capacity.
• Track production progress across processes and ensure adherence to planned timelines and priorities.
• Drive OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and continuously work towards reduction in production TAT.
• Ensure optimum utilization of available manpower, machines and production capacity.
• Conduct extensive follow-up with Production, PPC, Procurement, Inventory, Quality and other stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted execution of the plan.
• Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and potential delays in advance and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure prompt communication and timely escalation of deviations, risks and dependencies impacting production schedules.
• Maintain accurate planning MIS, trackers, dashboards and exception reports for management review.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, gaps, ageing, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen, Six Sigma and Best Manufacturing Practices.
• Ensure plan changes and priorities are communicated clearly to all concerned stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Engineering Graduate with 2-3 years of Production Planning / PPC experience.
• Experience in Jewelry Manufacturing, Engineering, Precision Engineering, Chemical, Pharma or API Manufacturing preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to Kaizen, Six Sigma and Best Manufacturing Practices is mandatory.
• Excellent data analysis and numerical aptitude with strong proficiency in Excel/MIS.
• Highly data-oriented and detail-oriented, with strong planning and tracking discipline.
• Strong follow-up, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify deviations quickly, communicate proactively and escalate before delays impact the plan.
• High sense of ownership and execution orientation.
