Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle India is seeking a Production/Manufacturing role to oversee monthly and weekly production plan adherence, ensuring product availability and sales readiness. The incumbent will drive productivity through optimized manpower and machine utilization, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and implement maintenance and quality initiatives.

The position requires strong knowledge of GMP/HACCP, CAPA, and safety practices, with a focus on continuous improvement across multiple lines

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and manufacturing excellence practices.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, safety norms, and CAPA processes.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply, quality, and maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure monthly/weekly production plan compliance to keep products available for sales teams as per norms.
• Improve productivity by optimizing manpower and machine utilization and reducing cycle times.
• Drive TPM, KAIZEN, and IDEA factory initiatives; implement preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Lead quality and process controls, CAPA for downtimes, and GMP score improvements; support safety initiatives and SOP adherence.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure monthly / weekly production plan compliance of the plant in order to ensure that products are available to the sales team as per agreed norms.
• To ensure customer service level compliance to sales and modern trade & exports as per the agreed norms.

Productivity Reliability:

• Effective manpower & Machine utilization to achieve pre-set production targets
• Inspecting the actual production Vs plan, reviewing compliance to various schedules, resolving issues with supply chain and quality-related issues with team functions, handling issues and implementing identified action plans, implement through put/cycle time improvement.

Manufacturing Excellence-

• Planning and implementing predictive/preventive maintenance schedules for machinery to increase machine up-time / equipment reliability
• Drive KAIZEN & IDEA factory
• TPM activities drive & implementation

System Excellence-

• CAPA for production downtimes, Quality Holds, rejects, and Customer complaints
• Drive Shift Review meetings and proactively identify abnormalities and close the same on a priority basis in coordination with cross-functional team members.
• Preparing the inputs for the Weekly review of all FPR Production lines
• Quality Process compliance
• PPS/LTS implementation
• Adhering to SOPs, Manuals & work instructions for production operations
• Undertaking regular inspections to prevent accidents and adhere to safety norms.
• Controlling CCPs as per HACCP standards
• Production MIS

GMP Score Improvement & audit point closure

• GMP and GHK adherence across all areas
• Daily GMP walk and taking immediate actions and ensuring GMP across all areas and initiating actions to sustain the same.
• Closure of respective FPR line/area GMP Gaps and initiating CAPA to avoid the recurrence of Gaps.

Cost Saving Initiatives

• Executing energy saving & other cost saving measures with suitable modifications in process.
• Reject (Rework scrap) reduction initiatives in respective FPR lines
• Drive Sparkle projects
