Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle is seeking a hands-on Plant Maintenance supervisor to oversee control, automation, electrical and utility upkeep, with shift-based responsibilities to keep assets available and reliable.

You will drive production reliability through SKU and volume compliance, support NPD production, implement continuous improvement initiatives, ensure safety and GMP standards, and lead energy-saving and cost-reduction efforts across all lines.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of electrical, control, and automation systems in a manufacturing plant.
• Shift-based plant maintenance to safeguard assets.
• Strong focus on safety, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in reducing waste and optimizing energy costs.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, mechanical, and utility systems across shifts.
• Ensure Safety regulations and GMP compliance; aim for high GMP scores.
• Drive SRM/ regulate breakdown hours and preventive maintenance; improve OEE.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives (minimum 12 per year) and cost control.
• Support NPD / commercial production and ensure product quality in lines.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Position is responsible for Plant Maintenance activities related to Control and automation, LT, and electrical.
• Complete Plant Maintenance activities in Shifts and upkeep of assets.

Production Reliability:

• SKU Compliance (M&E Controllable) in all lines
• Volume compliance (M&E Controllable) in all lines with special attention to specific products
• Support NPD commercial production

Manufacturing Excellence:

• CI (Continuous Improvement) Implementation of best kaizens per quarter to be implemented
• SRM compliance to be greater than the percentage agreed for the products
• JH implementation as per road map & Tag closure compliance as per agreed norms
• Ensure compliance to Targeted Breakdown hours, preventive maintenance and OEE

System Compliance & Engagement:

• PM schedule adherence as per the road map plan
• Safety mitigation, machine compliance
• Responsible for Electrical /Mechanical/Utility up keeps in shifts
• GMP score in Lollipop & Jelly overall line should be greater than 85%
• Compliance with all Safety regulations
• Ensuring zero TRFR and LTA
• Ensuring no major NCs from Reg authority on IMS/ FSSAI
• Ensure full compliance with all Safety regulations
• Reduction of agreed mandays for the year
• Reduction of rejection/waste generation/reduction of cost in all lines, as part of sparkle initiative
• Monthly PID of Production Material variance (Budgetted consumption value vs Actual consumption value) should not exceed the agreed money
• To implement power saving initiatives, minimum 12 initiatives per year
• To develop systems to control M&R and Energy cost
